You can't really buy Russian train tickets online. What you can do is to get an agent in Russia to buy tickets for you and they can take care of shipping them to whichever location you need. If you go to the train tickets section of this site and do a search, it takes you to their partner site. There, under the Customer Support menu, you can find email addresses to send your inquiries. Tell them exactly what you want to do and they will be able to explain what is possible.

By the way, there is no such thing as the Transsib or the Trans-mongolian. There are just lots of trains running short haul and long haul journeys on lots of tracks that connect lots of cities. You might like to take a direct train from Beijing to Moscow. But check the routes on your map. It might be more fun to take a train to Outer Mongolia, stay a couple of days in a yurt, then take a train to Irkutsk, spend a couple of days at Lake Baikal, then take a train to Ekaterinburg, tour the mafia graveyard, historic village, Gary Powers U2 spy plane, and then continue to Moscow.

Trains are for transport, not for holidays. Get out of those trains and meet the people and the countryside.
