Hello,
If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it. I lost my migration card on my last visit to Russia. I didn't get a new one, instead I had my hotel stamp a slip of paper with the dates I stayed there. I didn't realize I would have to get this migration card replaced. At passport control, the woman asked for my migration card, I showed her the slip of paper and said I lost the migratin card. She simply shook her head, and said something, perhaps in Russian, in any case I couldn't hear her too clearly. Obviously, I was let through and I took my flight back to U.S. I am however planning a trip back to Russia this summer? Will this situation affect my entry into Russia in any way? Is there anything I can do to guarantee entry? Any advice on this situatin? Thank You.

I think you won't have any problems entering Russia, so there's no need to do anything. They might recorded something on their files and the worst thing that may happen is that they will stop you when you arrive and try to ask what happened with that migration card, but you can just shake your head, say a few long phrases in English, and they will just let you through, I think, nobody will want to bother because of such minor thing. I'm sure you're not the only one who lost the migration card. People lose passport and then travel 10 times more to Russia OK.
