Has any one know anything about this hotel? I am booked there for two days. Are there any places for breakfast around hotel? I refuse to pay $25 for hotel breakfast.
Thanks for any input. Smile Smile Smile

Most probably the breakfast is included, and you can always ask if it is so when you check in. If you refuse to pay $25, you can always come out of the hotel and find a dozen of decent places to eat (most of which are opened 24 hours) within 100 meters.

I have stayed in this hotel for two days last summer
It is a five star hotel. and all staff seems very polite and speak english.
breakfest is included if you stay during the weekend Fri-Sun
I should say the breakfest is good eough to have a try.
they have wireless connection throughout the whole hotel. so you can get online whereever you like! that comes a surcharge about 36$ perday.
the currency exchange open 24 hours/day.

but one thing I feel not comfortable are
I booked this hotel from another agency, and when I checked in, the cehckin staff asked me if I would like to use anything from the fridge. I said no. so they locked the fridge!
also I have asked late check out due to the flight time, they charged me another half day rate which have never happened to me b4 in any hotels.

anyway, as a international hotel chain, it provide a good comfortable stay.
howver I should say, comparing to other marriott hotels in asia or europe, it seems over priced and not that kind of luxry if it is a 5 star hotel.

The Marriott Grand is not that great compared to their competitors at this price level. (5 star? I don't think so.) The location is fairly good. Further down the road about 10 minutes by foot is the Sheraton Palace Hotel. I like their rooms better, especially their bathrooms.

The Marriott Grand is fairly dull. So is the Marriott Tverskaya. The Marriott Royal Aurora is their best in the city. I like their atrium. But for the money, I'd go with the Ararat Park Hyatt. I also like the Hotel Akvarel and the Royal Meridien National Hotel for its superb location.

I put together some info on Moscow's hotels if anyone needs more info:
