India and Russia have always been friends and it's very easy for Russians to get an invitation to go to India (I got one myself and went to your amazing and beautiful country 2 years ago). However, there seems to be some directive at the moment which puts too much resposibility on the agencies that issue invitations for Indian nationals, for instance, as I was told, the agency may lose its license if the person invited overstays his visa, or does any minor infringement, etc. Also, there are some concerns about immigration. I personally think it's very unfair and plain stupid thing that Russian authorities are imposing. I will try to find out more about this and will be looking for companies out there that can provide invitations for Indian nationals.
