|

Good afternoon!
Someone told me that it is possible to have a suit made for cheap from a factory in Russia, anyone is aware of such companies?
He told me that you go to the factory and they take your measurements and you come back a week after and it is ready! For a lot less than here in america.
Would you please suggest any companies or places that I could maybe ask this information?
Thank you for your help!

I suppose it is possible to have a suite made here in Russia much cheaper then in the US. But if you want it really cheap you need to come to a factory with a person who speaks Russian and will interpret for you.
At the factories where the personnel speak English prices are almost as high as in the US. |

When in Russia, You can come to any shop of FOSP factory and find a ready-made suit for you. It will be much cheaper than in US, it will be genuinely Russian and it won't take much time (as when you have it done).
FOSP means Firmennaya Odezhda St. Petersburg |

Dear Anna & Eugenia,
Thank you very much for your fast information! However, Anna how much is a suit for a men in Russia?
Eugenia, do you have an example of a place where they are making suits, or even an address? Also, what is the approx. cost for a suit?
Once again thank you very much for your help and have a nice day!

You can have a suite made at "Dom Mod" on 37, Kamennoostrovsky prospect (metro Petrogradskaya). The price will vary depending on the quality of the cloth and on where you are going to buy the cloth - if you bring it with you just sewing won't be expensive at all. I'll check their pricing for you if you want.
A ready-made suite, would cost 5000-15000 roubles ($180-520) |

Dear David,
My husband and I went for a man's suit today. We didn't intend to buy a Russian suit, but I checked the prices for you. Even downtown (where the prices are higher) such a suit costs storting from 2900 roubles.
I don't think it's worth time, money and trouble taken to have you suit made for you. If I were you, I'd buy a ready-made one. |
