I find all of the bands you guys are talking about old. My Mom is into that kind of music but not me!

is it an only disadvantage?
Do you think that something which is shown now on MTV is better than bands which i've mentioned for example?
I don't think that quite famous modern "punks" Green Day are better than classics of rock Smile

btw, I listen to modern rock music and alternative guys (and not only rock..but I don't listen to rap, r'n'b or something), however I like not very many of them Smile

PS: Steve Ray Vaughan rules Wink if anybody knows him

But anyway The Beatles rules! ))

It looks like I share very similar musical tastes as Camrade. My favorite music is primarily any style of Rock, including hard and classic rock, but also like alternative and New Age (the wierder, the better) Laughing , and enjoy different styles of Blues and classical (Mozart). Soundtracks can be great, too. Absolute Nyet to Country/Western and Rap. Evil or Very Mad

Yes, he was a great Blues-Rock guitarist.

It's cliche, but I like a little of everything, from Mozart to Deicide. Mostly hard rock and heavy metal though.

I have a pet peeve of people who say, "I like a little of everything." Then you discover they think Green Day is alternative and they like the odd Britney Spears song. lol

Eurovision is garbage. It is corporate, commercial mainstream shite. MTV, same thing.

My musical tastes vary but consist of mostly "rock." I am starting to get into some metal (bands) as well. Those metal bands include Pantera, Slayer, Mastodon and a host of others. Check 'em out, Russkies!

But, I usually listen to "alternative" and indie rock. I find that most Russians don't even know what it is or haven't heard of that term before. At least, the girl I'm talking to, doesn't. I also like a lot of punk rock. From the previous threads on Russian music, it sounds like the (music) scene is pretty bad.

Anyway, imho, it is good to read Comrade name some decent bands. There's no 'thumbs up' emoticon so I'll just give him this one:

Cool Dancing

I'm pretty opinionated about music but I'm really into it.
