There's usually a range of opinions, but Putin seems to be the most credible leader in modern Russian history. Anyway his approval rating usually hovers around 55-70%. As for the other % they have other ideas.

But Anyas comments are more or less correct. His opinion rating is between 69%-70% making him the most popular leader in modern Russian history with a "trust" rating at 41%. He's more liked than the Russian government itself which has an approval rating of 30%.

But you're on the wrong forum and website for that kind of question more or less. Goto a Russian language forum or one of those hybrid English/Russian forum/websites to get a more..... ehm......."credible"....answer from people that actually live there.

E had a good idea to ask actual Russians for their input and feedback. Either in person, via email or a number or Russians who frequent a Russian forum to obtain a variety of responses and perspectives.

I would generally agree with the above, yet add that I doubt there are too many people who would refer to Russia's current political system as a 'democracy'.
