In particular I'm looking for places to buy Russian books (in Russian language). Thanks Steve

Whilst some people may scoff at it, it's still at Primrose Hill, has authentic Russian, Polish, Ukrainian and Caucasus dishes, and is delightfully cheap. Well worth the visit.

The best selection is found at Grant & Cutler on Great Marlborough street, south of and parallel to Oxford Street. They have a huge selection of books for native Russians as well as many language learning books. Their selection of dictionaries and readers is better than Foyles. Somewhere up around Kings Cross near the RNIB is a foreign language bookshop that is supposed to be good but I haven't checked it out. I saw a reference to it on the UCL website.

Of course you can go to the ones like Wavetossed mentioned, you can even find Russian books sold in Waterstones, but they just tend to buy in what they think would sell, rather than be in business for this sole purpose. And they will order in anything you want. They also do have staff who speak Russian and all the other languages that they deal in.

The shop is located in Central London, and provides delivery anywhere in UK.
