I am back from my 12 day trip to the DPRK,I stayed 5 days in China also.
The DPRK was awesome as usual, I toured Pyongyang,Nampo,Wonsan and Sinchon City and aslo took part in 3 International meetings.
Some of my friends toured the DPRK by bus from Mt.Paektu which is in the North to Pyongyang by bus,and then Pyongyang to Nampo(west) and from there to Wonsan(East).

2 thing to say:
1.Visit the DPRK if you can.
2.DONT GO TO CHINA!

Ok,Imagine a country where when you are born you have not guaranteed,neither education nor even food...imagine a country that whoever disagreees with the government is killed,a country that everything can be bought with money,even slaves....a country that which to survive 13yr old girls sell their body, a country in which police is a corrupt force that will arrest/kill you for nothing...

well I ain't speaking about Africa,It's China!

I'll look into that later, North Korea is not a human rights abuser,not like China,Russia or the USA.
There is no oligarchy in there and I can tell you,because I visited the entire country by bus and was allowed to do things that "normal toursists" dont do,such as walking alone at night in the city etc etc...

"normal tourists" don't go to North Korea to begin with...
North Korea is a poor tatalitarian country that hopefully one day will find it's way toward democracy...

Comrade, Outside of St. Petersburg, where have you traveled? I am still disappointed we were not able to connect when I visited in June. BTW you owe me a better reason/excuse for not meeting us! Smile

We came a long way, possibly a trip of a lifetime, contacted you, spoke with you in Piter, made mutual understandable arrangements, waited for you for one hour...???

how did you get into North Korea? I`d like to go there as well, since I`m living nearby anyway and it always seemed an interesting country to me.
what I think is a bit funny is that it seems from your posts that North Korea is such a cool country. do you think people over there are not put into prison without trial? are the people getting born over there are sure that they will be properly fed during the whole of their life? don`t think so...
I live in China, I know there are shitty things over here. I`m also against the Olympic games being held here (also because at this time some of the oldest hutongs in being are being pulled down to build the stadions). BUT China is a great country to travel in, you have everything over here: mountains, see, cheap beer,... the lack of freedom won`t hold me back to live here or travel, and I hope it won`t other people!

Renwan, are you kidding? If North Korea is a such a wonderful country, please go live there.
Mei Nu, in Beijing there´s a guest house near bar Poachers where they book tours to North Korea. Of course you will have a state guide so that you see what they want you to see. BTW, I´ve been 3 times in China and is a beatiful country and its people are amazing. I´ve met many people living and working there both from China and foreigners and they are very happy with the country and how it goes. Mei Nu, I also would like to travel to North Korea and is because probably is the only country in the world with no human rights. Renwan, how could you post that? Did they tell you to do that?
