I am married to a Russian a year ago. I recently came back from Russia after my 3 months visa expired. Can you tell me what is the best way or visa i should applied in order to enter Russia again? I do not wish to enter and then leave many times as it involves cost and affects my adjustment... Confused

You can apply for a multi-entry visa, if you plan on going back often, but it is more expensive. I don't remember how many months it is good for, I think a year, but I may be wrong. You don't have to come back to the states when your visa expires. Instead you can go to Helsinki, Finland where you can receive your visa for Russia in one day. You only need to spend one, or two nights in Helsinki then return to Russia for another three months. The trip to Finland is pretty nice by train, and no hassles.

Randy is right: your best bet is a multiple-entry business visa valid for 12 months. You will need to leave Russia at least once on this visa (as you can't stay more than consequent 6 months), but it's not a hassle: you can go for a weekend with your wife to Baltic or Scandinavian country or somewhere in Asia and then come back. As the visa is multi-entry, it allows you to travel as much as you like.
