I am not a staunch advocate of the Tobacco Research Institute, and smoking has been universally proven to be extremely bad. Note that smoking is one of the major contributors to the Russian Males life expectancy of around 56 years as I believe it is now. I also would rate the majority of Russian smokes as being made from gorillas armpit hair. They are too rough for me but perfect during a hangover. "Klaus" got captured and dragged back to our place after a punishing road trip. I'm running through the mechanicals and tarting him a bit up so that my wife doesn't become a mobile chicane......the only down side is the colour. "Moss Green" is the factory description, "Puce" or "pea soup green" is polite but I refer to it as "Exorcist projectile vomit green". In a year or so I'll respray it in her colour of choice. slavnori Frequent Guest Joined: 28 Jan 2005 Posts: 30 Location: San Palo	Posted: Wed Aug 24, 2005 12:49 am    Post subject: good/bad about Russia Good 1) Smoking in restaurants 2) Public transportation 3) Beautiful ladies 4) Friendly & hospitible once you know them 5) Beer, and those dried up dead salted fish Bad 1) Beauracracy, bribe system, corruption (even in some churches) 2) Not enough public restrooms ( and the ones available smell like cat piss) and I can remember having to even buy news paper, to use as toilet paper when I forgot my own. 3) Bland food, which everyone has different taste 4) The heating system in flats suck. 5) The never ending repairs they do to the plumbing, sometimes during winter, in which they shut your hot water off right when you happen to be in the shower. With no hot water for weeks sometimes.
