that was very tasty. very very tasty.
however i cant see how the vodka enhanced the flavour! maybe it did i will have to try with out the voddy. surely if it all evapourates then its gone!!
i suffer from curiosity killed the cat syndrome and i did indeed inhale the voddy as it evaporated.
woh. i can see why you put the warning in
but as a born again cossack i just kept on sniffing up that premium voddy, not wanting to waste it you see.
sure hell fire, thats one quick way to get drunk
oh and i couldnt work out 200g of voddy so i just stuck in a whole glass, was that right
any more recipes like that |

I can see your problem... sounds like you were using a non-spicy or simply tasteless vodka. I think another glass or two would have done the job. It depends what kind of vodka you are using, really.
This is a very versatile recipe, just vary the ratio of ingredients, make it more creamy, or a larger tomato-base, drizzle it over lobster etc. |

Hmm... you inhaled it in? I warned you! You're supposed to let ALL the alcohol evaporate... how can it be too much? |

An answer to your earlier question--yes, you can omit the vodka altogether for a plain rose sauce.
But for a person like you, you'd probably better serve vodka meant for the sauce as the main drink with the dish. |

| Better... It seems such a waste to let all the alcohol evaporate.. What's the use of vodka without it? |

Well it is not a waste I can assure you. Vodka gives it a special taste, but you need to choose the right one, and use enough of it.
Anyway I only cook this in Russia becaues vodka is just too cheap! |

Well more often or not for me I don't have the time or energy to even do anything else other than dumping frozen pelmeni into a pot of boiling water for dinner... and I'm also a big fan of microwavable dinners
Fancy pasta dishes are only for weekends or holidays, when I have the mood!
Actually I would eat your cooking... because it saves me from cooking! |
