I had a great Russian vodka at a graduation party for a Russian college friend of mine in May. His mother brought it with her when she came to stay with us. It was made in Voronezh near where she lives. It was the smoothest vodka I ever tasted and I've tasted plenty. I wish I knew what it was called. All I remember is that it was in a long skinny bottle. I suppose I could email his mother and ask her, but she neither speaks or reads english. Maybe when we go back to Russia I'll bring back about 10 bottles of it.

Muddy Puddle Drink

2.0 liters Cola
2.0 liters Lemonade
1.0 liter Orange juice
70.0 cl Gold Rum
70.0 cl Vodka
1.0 liter Blackcurrant cordial

Pour all ingredients into a large punch bowl with plenty of ice.

Stir vigorously, and serve into cups.

Special recipe for Wally Witless AKA Paul Holmes, just empty out your large brass spittoon and rinse it with vinegar. Then put in 1 tablespoon of fresh vinegar, only 1 liter of lemonade and just 1 liter of orange juice and swirl it around, let sit overnight and then refrigerate for 2 hours. Add a bottle of rum and a bottle of vodka of the Muddy Puddle recipe above, omit the cola and the blackcurrent cordial if the spittoon is nearly full, or you just can't find them. Drink it all in 10 minutes, ignore any metallic taste and rest in peace.
