My boyfriend and I will be arriving into St. Pete from Moscow on at 6:30am train.
We are not planning on checking into our hotel until that night, so we will leave our bag in a locker (they are available at train station, right?) and we want to take one of Peter's walking tours around 10am that morning.
Does anyone have any suggestions how we can spend our time 7am-10am? Are there any cafes near by where we can grab a bite to eat and what sites can we check out while waiting?

Thank you.

Ok, look, when I come to St. Petersburg that early, there's a nice cafe with pancakes just a few minutes form the railway station: walk out of the station, cross the big square (but not Nevsky) and turn right and walk along Nevsky. After 1-2 minutes you will see Teremok pancake cafe to your right -- they serve tasty porridge, pancakes, cottage cheese, all kinds of delicious stuff for breakfast. I think they will be opened at that time, but I'm not sure. If they are not, there are a lot of other cafes around, where you can sit and have nice time and read the St. petersburg times, use bathroom, etc.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to visit any museums before your excursion (they mostly open at 10 - 11 a.m.), but you can just walk along Nevsky and watch historical builgings, bridges, etc. As an option I can offer you to make a one-hour boat trip on rivers and canals of St. Petersburg. If interested - contact me for further information.
