Just wondering if anyone out there has experience in getting a Russian visa from Japan. I know there are Russian consulates in Osaka and Tokyo, but I live near neither of those places. Do I have to drop off my info. and pick up my visa in person??

Also. I understand the invitation, but what are the vouchers that I've seen mentioned?

Thanks so much for any info...

The voucher is the same thing as an invitation. Technically, the invitation consists of a confirmation letter and a travel voucher. Both papers are sometimes called "visa support" or "invitation".

Just give a call to Russian Consulate in Japan. I know that for example in the USA it is possible to send all the paperwork to the Consulate by courier and then to receive your passport with visa by post also. Good luck!
