There is an impressive outdoor sculpture containing many tall figures in a line. It is located near the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. I was told that it was a monument to those who died in the camps.

Does anyone know the name of the work and who created it? I have searched all over the Internet and have found nothing.

Thanks.

Most of Muscovites don't like most of his works. But for some reasons he is in favour of Moscow's major Luzhkov. So Moscow's flooded by his "creations". Smile

Thanks for the information. This work is very moving.....but his Peter the Great piece is another matter entirely. We were told by someone that the Peter statue was originally supposed to be Christopher Colombus. The tale said that the statue was offered to the US but it was refused. Whereupon off went Chris' head and on went Peter's.

He also did St George slaying the Nazi dragon in front of the museum, didn't he?

Again, thanks.
