How does that work? do you just send a sheet of paper with: "I would like to book one room for x nights from x/x/2004 to y/y/2004? Please confirm via fax to xxx-xxx-xxxx"? Would the hotels send an international fax to confirm? Do most russian hotels require a credit card to hold the reservation or do they just book it? Thanks ak

I don't know that I would reserve anything via fax only. That just sounds like a really bad idea. Especially if you have to give out your credit card information. I would look for an agency that can book the hotel for you, it it will be much more secure.
