ahava Guest	Posted: Thu Mar 06, 2003 11:29 pm    Post subject: train or plane: Moscow to Saratov I'll be going to Saratov for three months starting in the end of March. I'll arrive by plane to Moscow (Sheremetyevo 2) and then I want to continue straight to Saratov. From which airport can I fly there? Can I buy the ticket at the airport? (they are not sold internationally so I can't buy the ticket in advance). Or will it be easier to get a (night) train? Which station? Is it relatively easy to buy a train ticket? How much would it cost approximately? Many thanks!!!

If it it Aeroflot for example, you'll need to go to Sheremetyevo 1, which is about 10 mins away from Sheremetyevo 2 by car or shuttle (shuttles about every 10 mins, 20R - $0.7). Make sure you have about 4 hours at least before flights, though. If you're flying with Sibir (another popular Russian airline) you'll depart from Domodedovo. Anyway, it worths buying the ticket beforehand and have it delivered to you. Try www.aeroflot.ru and www.s7.ru
