When I retire in a few years, my dream is to buy a second hand but stout camping car and to make a round trip Paris (where I live)-Kaliningrad-St Pete-Carelia-the Ourals-southern Russia-Crimea -Odessa and go back to France via Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Austria (or a shorter route if necessary).
The focus of my trip would be indeed Russia.
Ideally, I would like to start in spring (let's say 1st April) and be back by the middle of autumn (let's say 15th November): ils it feasable or too difficult in terms of quality of roads, security, administrative problems (paperwork, visas) or simply because of the cost of such a trip (fuel, food, visits).I know a few words of Russians but I plan to learn the language before the trip so as not to be totally lost in everyday situations.
F example, is it safe to camp in the countyside or near little villages or towns, I'd hate to need a weapon (I wouldn't make the trip if someone tells me it is necessary for my security).
Any clues of how to organise such a trip?
Thank you in advance comrades, dazvidanié
