Wondering about visas- whether any extra special permission is needed to cycle in these areas or if the visa is enough? Thanks! Alastair

Vladivostok is no longer a closed city (as it was in Soviet times) but I assume that you'll need a registration. If you are staying in the hotel, that's great as hotels automatically do registration. For how long are you going to stay in Vlad? Do you have already reserved hotel or a place where you will stay? Do you know that we have an association of bikers here? If you are interested our company could assist you with your staying in Vlad. I work in "CSV" which stands for "Come & See Vladivostok".
