I hear you. But you know, life boils down to the simple things: Cooking meals, doing laundry, paying bills, getting sick and getting well, having good friends. I think those things are so much more fun to do and have with somebody from your own country, you know? The international dating and stuff seems so stressful (unnecessarily).

Ive never dated an American guy before LOL. They have all been foriegn! American guys are kind of a weird breed, You would probably have to go down south to hicksville in order to find whats considered a "real man", and then you would not be interested because he would probably be a crazy republican LOL. Its hard to find a happy medium here, you will mostly run into shallow jerks, selfish bastards, and sex perves! Also if you expect any type of commitment as in marriage, you can pretty much forget about it with most American guys. Ive noticed something in this country though, and its strange, all the nice guys seem to be paired up with all the horrible women, and all the nice girls are paired up with the horrible men. Only once in awhile does the nice guy get the nice girl! Confused

It's all about Givers and Takers. The takers like the givers and the givers are naturally drawn to the takers... Go figure. All those horrible guys and girls are the takers. Lots of foreigners that are trying to get russian/eastern europian women for wives are takers (slam dunk!).

You'll meet your man Firey some day. A good american guy. El Casey will be good for you, I think (do you know who he is?)

ioshee,

Although not an expert, I have dated and known a number of russian women. And talked a lot about their relationships there. When we meet partners in the west, we have criterion for liking someone, or not liking them. From what I now know about Russia they have different scales alltogether... Shocked
Western women will prefer a taller, slightly older, handsome, good natured man. Period.
Russian women are looking for a men who is intelligent and can support a family. Other qualities come last on their scale. Based on that, russian men naturally have different expectations.
My two cents... Very Happy

Hi Fire G & Oishee

Speaking from a blokes point of view--- maybe he thinks of you as friends and really enjoyed the sightseeing trip--- after all you have been penpals for many years

My guess thats what he thinks---- and maybe he has a secret or too in Germany---- after all you dont really tell your opposite sex penpal --- that you have awild nymphomaniac girlfriend in Germany--- after all he knew you were single ---- maybe this trip was just for sight seeing ant TO ACTUALLY SEE if there was a spark ---- maybe there wasnt so he didnt want to string you along with false hope

If I was a betting man I`d bet you( bottle of Baileys)-- ( if Fire_G hasnt drank it all)------------ he`s a true gentleman--- there wasn`t a spark and didn`t want to take advantage of you---- shit I have been on Loads of blind dates in my life--- no point in starting somthing which will be difficult to stop later---- my guess you dont here from him for a while--- then back to e-mails ---once a blue moon

just my though

Lee

Thanks Lee for your response. Yeah, who knows. Maybe you are right but he sure acted romantic...And he called me twice since he landed back in Germany (which has only been one full day, now)
I guess time will tell. And if he doesn't pick up on anything romantic, I will suppose he has just friendly interests.

You know, I do not think women are confusing when it comes to romance, dating, etc. Most of the time it is THE MEN who are confusing. If a woman likes a guy rarely will she be going in and out of that relationship. A guy even if he likes a girl, often times he will still keep his options open.

You know, guys.... They go like this: "I love you!...... what's for lunch?"
