cascata Just Starting Joined: 28 Jul 2004 Posts: 2	Posted: Wed Jul 28, 2004 12:01 pm    Post subject: Business Visa Invitation and Visa Dates Hi, I am going to moscow for one year to study, and the organisation I will be attending is preparing a business Visa. My problem is that as classes start only on the 13th September they are only willing to send a letter inviting me to enter Russia on the 1st of September. However I have to go To Russia on the 18th August. So my question is weather there is any chance of entering Russia from the 18th without having to leave again to reply for a business Visa from the 1st September. Thanks for any help

This might take only a few days though. You can tell your organization that you will get a visa support through another organization, if they are not willing to make it start on 18th August, and I think this will make them start it earlier to avoid possible problems they might have with registering this other visa. Otherwise, if you really want to go on 18th August, get a tourist visa (visa support can be obtained at http://waytorussia.net/Services/VisaSupport/Tourist.html ), leave to one of the Baltic countries (Latvia for example) around the first two weeks of September and re-apply for a business visa there. However, keep in mind that the processing might take a few weeks (can be one day, but is expensive).
