HOWEVER, I really hope someone can help me - my boyfriend and I are going to St Petersburg via Helsinki next week. We have found the London queues too long and unfortunately left it too late to apply by post. Does anyone know how easy/expensive it is to get a same/next day visa at the Russian embassy in Helsinki. In addition - I am a New Zealander, my boyfriend is Australian - will we be able to get our visas there? I heard good reports from someone who was there in 2002 - they said it was quick and easy and a fantastically well -organised consulate - but I don't know whether things have changed in 2 years. We are continuing to try to get in at the London embassy, but in the meantime, please help! Thank you!
