I would love to do the Trans Mongolian train trip at the end of August..Any tips please..Are stop overs permitted.>.If so where do you recommend.?.Ive so many questions any tips would be appreciated on how to make the best out of this trip..Thanks all

You would have to buy separate tickets for each "portion" of the way. The greatest stops are Ekaterinburg (1 day is enough for sight-seeing the center), Novosibirsk (1 day), Krasnoyarsk (1-2 days, there's a good national park "Stolby"), Irkutsk (leave at least 6 days, so you can visit Olkhon island at lake Baikal), Ulan-Ude (a very interesting town with "asian" feel and buddhist temples).
