stevecotheque Frequent Guest Joined: 16 May 2004 Posts: 17 Location: victoria BC	Posted: Mon Aug 09, 2004 10:18 pm    Post subject: buying clothes in moscow so far the forums have been good to me and my questions, heres another: where's the best places to buy mens casual/dress clothing? what i'm looking for is: cool local designers, the kind of stuff i wont find anywhere else, and maybe some counterfeit name-brand designer labels... where are the good rynoks to check out for this? thanks a bunch steve PS: any tips for st. petersburg would be appreciated as well... im too lazy to make a 2nd post in that forum.

Especially GUM (next to the Red Square, metro Ploshchad Revolutsii), TsUM (next to Bolshoy Theatre, metro Okhotny Ryad or Teatralnaya), Manezhnaya Square (in front of the Kremlin, metro Okhotny Ryad, where Tverskaya street starts). Also, there's Podium boutique on Tverskaya st (5 minutes towards Pushkinskaya metro from the Kremlin on the left-hand side) where you can buy designer clothes. In St. Petersburg the main shopping area is Nevsky Prospekt. Right next to Moskovsky Vokzal (railway station) you can find a shop which sells some Russian designers' stuff. As for the other Russian designers shops, give me some time, I'll get you the addresses.
