I was visiting Russia in May and had the time of my life. We were staying in a small village called Pestovo and thouroughly enjoyed the rural life there. One of my favorite things we did was Bonia. Before visiting I had never heard of it. But I am just crazy about it now.
It was like a (very hot) steam room, fragranced with Birch leaves. But the best part was being "beaten" with Birch branches by a Russian 'Babushka' What an expeirence! I think everyone that visits Russia needs to go to Bonia. You haven't experienced Russia, until you have done Bonia. Very Happy
