When i was in Moscow, i was surprised not to see any bicycle there. At least now i know there is ONE! =)

Why are there so few bicycle/motorcycles in Moscow. Wouldnt it be a bit dangerous for them there due to the aggressive way of driving of russian drivers or is it difficult to secure the bike there?

I loved visiting Beijing on a bicycle, going random and following my GPS indications to go back to the hostel. But i didnt do it in Moscow since i saw so few of them.

When I was in Spain this year (with a very multinational group) my class had an entire discussion about bike riding in Moscow and what everyone basically said was A) it is much too dangerous B) there are no designated bicycle paths, like there are in New York City C) why ride when you can use the metro

Vorteks, same thoughts when I saw that bicycle. I just couldn't imagine myself riding on a bike in the centre of Moscow. Even as a pedestrian, life is tough there! Wink
