hi...
I am a dance artist from New York, trying to plan a trip to Russai and Finland, to participaite in several dance festivals, and collaborate with Russian artists I met recently at a festival in Yaroslavl.
I want to ideally fly from NYC to St. petersburg around Nov. 10. Then go to Finland for five or six days from Nov. 16-22 or so, then back to St. petersburg, traveling to Moscow Dec 1 -5, then back to St. petersburg to fly home.
Which means, I think, entering Russia twice, but I thought I saw somewhere on this site that a tourist visa with double entry does not work for Finland.
Can anyone give me advice? Do I even have time to figure this out if I want to book a flight for the middle of November?

Dear Katherine,
It is true that you can get a double entry tourist visa only if you leave Russia to CIS or Baltic states. If you want to go to Finland during your trip to Russia and then come back, then your only option is to get a double entry business visa for 1 month. I reckon it's not much more expensive as well. You can apply at http://waytorussia.net/Services/VisaSupport/Business.html
By the way, what kind of dance do you do? Do you have a website / links? Can you send me PM about this and also which festivals you are going to participate in? I'm just interested, because I also do contemporary dance  |

I will look into the business visa...is it more complicated to get?
you can visit my website at www.architectsdacne.org for a little information about the kind of work I do. And I actually don't even know the exact names of the festivals as of yet....most of the detaisl are being worked on by my new Russian friends... but I will be happy to forward to you when I know...
