Last year I stayed with a friend in Hotel Morskaya (www.morskaya.ru). It was alright and de price was fair. It's near the Lenexpo.

Why don't you regard a B&B as an option? Some of them is a good combination of price and comfort

Of course, the time has past and you have already visited SPB... but in case you plan to come once again and would need an affordable accommodation, I would be pleased to assist you - I have a very good friend Eugenia working for the petersburg company (apartments' rental), and I am sure she would help you - www.spb-guide.com or +7(812)3371223

Hello!!
I will also be two weeks in St. Petersburg in October
My travel trip marked me the "NEVSKY 92" Hotel at Nevsky Prospect.
Just across the road from "Mayakovskaya" Metro station.

Why dont you people rent an appartment. I havent done it yet, but it looks like a pretty nice deal. Especially considering the uber-central locations.
