Entry date - invitation

I am getting a business invitation and I want to leave for Russia as soon as possible.Could there be any problems if, for instance, the entry date on the invitation is 01.06.06, but I am unbale to get the processed visa by that time? I would like to go as soon as possible and this is why I want the entry date to be as early as possible, such that I may travel immidiately when I get my visa. Thanks for any replies!

siberiamad Lounge Lizard Joined: 22 Apr 2006 Posts: 124	Posted: Tue May 09, 2006 3:55 pm    Post subject: It's not a problem to have an earlier than actual entry date on your invite and subsequent visa, though I've never heard of the entry date being prior to the date of the application but it shouldn't be a problem on the invite. To be sure, I'd put the entry date down (on the visa application) for straight after when you anticipate the visa being returned to you (which obviously depends on how much you pay). I'd also add a couple of days onto your intended departure date if possible, in case of travel delay. GOOD LUCK G
