|
|
I am an Australian travelling with 3 other people in 4 weeks to Moscow - obviously we dont have a lot of time to get a visa but we are not sure exactly what is required for visa support in Australia. I am more than happy to get visa support thru waytorussia as it seems like a great service but is that all we need in Australia? Do we need a covering letter from a travel agent? Do we need to have fully paid our accom to get vouchers? Our travel agency says he can arrange the vouchers and invitation but the hotel prices he is quoting are more than twice than we can get on the internet so we sould prefer to book online ourselves.
If we order visa support on waytorussia as Im in Australia do I request it to be faxed thru or an original copy? Does the Aust. embassy accept faxed visa support? If not how do I get an original copy quickly? Do we need exact dates and can they be altered?
I just want to be sure about the visa support because due to limited time once we send it to the consulate for a visa- if its not sufficient then we dont have any time to arrange another support if needed.
Sorry for all the questions but we cannot get the answers we are looking for anywhere! When we contact the consulate they simply say refer to consulate website which isnt a help.
I would appreciate any help!!!!!!! Thankyou. |

Hi, I answered to your question at http://www.waytorussia.net/TalkLounge/quote-40529.html
Anyway, don't worry about your visa support -- there will be no problems. All you need is to order it through http://waytorussia.net/Travel/VisaSupport.html and then have it received by e-mail or fax, print it out, bring to the consulate along with your passport, photos, insurance (if needed). A cover letter may be sometimes required in Australia, but by default it is not, so you shouldn't bring it. In case they say they need a cover letter, contact the agent who's sent you the visa support, and he will forward the cover letter for you.
Copies should be enough.
Just make sure you provide the information in consulate visa application form that's consistent with your visa support (e.g. if you're getting a tourist visa, the purpose of the trip should be "tourism", etc). |

| Vanessa-I'm in the US but I got my visa in 6 days via mail. I had the visa support that stated I was there for 30 days, I sent a cover letter that I typed myself, sent my passport, fees, etc. And the Consulate was very fast. I was impressed. I will re apply for October to go again. Good luck to you....you'll be fine. |

| Hello - I'm just wondering about the specific requirement of tour vouchers by the Russian Embassy in Australia in addition to the visa support letter and cover letter. Do you know if we need to obtain all three of these? Many thanks for your help! |

| The tour voucher comes as part of the visa support that you can order through this site. You don't need to make a special request for it. Visa support consists a tourist confirmation and a tour voucher (requirements 4 and 5 for the Russian consulate in Sydney). |

thanks- this forum is a life-saver....
And just to be completely clear I got visa support thru WTR- on the Visa Application Form question 7 reads 'Company or Organisation in Russia to be visited or name and reference number of Russian tour agency'- this is just the name of the hotel ie Hotel Budapest and confirmation reference ie #477 ?
Also question 14 it asks 'Name of travel agency and number of tour voucher' this is the hotel name again or the InterCenter Gumanitarnogo Servisa and voucher number ie M16IGS22200? |

For number 14, it is "InterCenter Gumanitarnogo Servisa" and M16IGS22200.
For number 7 you should use whatever is written (probably in Russian) on the bottom half of the left-hand side of your invitation underneath this line:
"Принимающая организация, ее адрес, No референса"
I would think it would be "InterCenter Gumanitarnogo Servisa" again, so your answer to question number 7 would be "InterCenter Gumanitarnogo Servisa, Ref No. 477"
Have a great time in Russia and don't stress too much about it. They're not in the habit of rejecting visas just for cheap thrills. Any more questions, just ask... |

This service is fantastic (so far anyway). I've read most of the relevent posts, but i just want to confirm one thing (apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I am however a bit nervous, as i have to mail my application to canberra and time is tight).
The australian embassy has the following requirements:
--------
1-3 (usual)
4. A standard tourist confirmation ("Podtverzdeniye") from an authorized hosting Russian travel agency, registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MID RF). The confirmation letter must contain the agency's special reference number with MID RF.
5. A tour voucher original or its copy attested by authorised Russian travel agency.
6. A cover letter from your travel agency in Australia containing:
* applicant's name or alphabetical list of a group;
* dates and points of arrival and departure in and from Russia, means of transport;
* itinerary in Russia;
* the name of the hosting Russian company and its reference number.
Please follow the above requirements when submitting your papers. Otherwise, the documents will be returned.
Should we wish to contact you, please state clearly your contact telephone number (office and after hours) in the application form.
-----------------
So now i understand items 4 and 5 are met by Way to Russia's service, but i would just like to confirm Item 6? Is surfguys approach ok to use in australia?
Should i type a form out myself with the details of the trip itinerary?
If i don't know the final exact details yet should i just make something up that matches the entry exit details and cities listed on the support?
thanks for your help
