Well, at the time Georgia was part of the Russian federation, and will most likely be again in the near future.
Why? Because he was responsible for industrializing Russia, winning the 2nd world war, solved the Chechyn 'problem' and generally cared for his people. |

WEBMASTER.
Now I understand why the world is always running down. As long as there are people like Uday...raising prayers and paying tribute to the biggest mass murderer of the whole mankind´s history, nothing good can be expected for the future.
I would like to ask Uday if he considers Lavrenti Beria (one of the Stalin`s favourites) one of the biggests russians in history. |

Get your panties out of a knot klamm and quit being so judgemental.
Everything you think you believe about Mr. Stalin is not true. |

Sorry
I was wrong...Gulag was not a concentration camp...it was a siberian holiday resort.
The ucranians were too fat and Stalin just made them follow an effective diet. |

Good question! I am leamimg to Tolstoy for his literature especially War and Peace. Solsinitzyn which I am sure I spelled wrong is another great writer. For spirit I admire the Russian poet Anna Akthmatova.! I am USA citizen. I also adore the great Russian animation character Cherabusjka!
Here is one of Akhmatova's poems translated in English.
White Night
I haven't locked the door,
Nor lit the candles,
You don't know, don't care,
That tired. I haven't the strength.
To decide to go to bed.
Seeing the fields fade in
The sunset murk of pine-needles,
And to know all is lost,
That life is a current hell,
I've got drunk,
On your voice in the doorway.
I was sure you'd come back.

I like Peter the Great, because he overcame his violent past (Family fueds resulting in his parents being thrown on spikes in front of his very eyes) and almost single-handedly changed the course of Russian history. Through his leadership Russia became one of the leading world powers. Although some of his tactics were a bit...extreme. HE helped industrialize Russia and improved the state of living for the people by examining the advanced techniques of other countries in medicene and factories, then introducing them to Russia. Besides, I love St. Petersburg!
Also I like Dosteovsky (hope its spelled right) I loved reading Brothers Karamazov. I think he was a great man in the world of literature.
Solzenitsen was awesome too. He got thrown out of the country for showing communism in its true light. What a brave man!! I think he is the image of (or the character in his book) was the image of Russian spirit.
Oh yeah, and I am American |

The greatest Russian in the world
He will be one who believes that all people should live in harmony with everyone else.
He will not be greedy or stingy.
He will let his heart feel compassion for his fellow man and will act accordingly.
He will recognize that peace comes from within, not from without.
He will know the greatest treasure one can have is their family.
He will enjoy life, but do no harm to others.
He will love and be loved.
He will set an example which others will follow, not by force but because they know he is right.
His wisdom will be sought by all.
He will teach from the heart.

| Maybe he is trying to be the first person to have his username as the last post on all topic categories. Or maybe he is just a very agreeable person. |
