Hello all.
I was arrested and convicted for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in 1989 and I have not had any trouble since that incident. My question is: Will this prevent me from getting a Russian visa? Does anyone know if the Russian consulate offices have access to the criminal history of US citizens and do they do a background check. I never thought this conviction was a problem until I tried to go to Canada this past week for a flu shot and was denied entry at the port of entry because of this. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has any information on this subject. Thanks, T (aka honeydabber )

They don't give a shite. I've a similar conviction, travelled everywhere problem free. In fact, the only country I have trouble getting into is amerika.

Did you tell them about your conviction in the application, or not?

The application never asked about any conviction.
