I just got back form two weeks in St Petersburg. I hired a tour guide and driver (Anna and Alex) the first day to show me around the city. I then made notes of places I wanted to come back to and spend more time. I would highly recommed this way of learning the city. It gave me a great feel for the city and also a list of things to see that was better than I could have picked out of a book.

Anna was very knowledgeable in Russian history and was interesting to leisten too. Alex did a great job of driving and got us to each location quickly and safely. During my stay (at PIO's), I was able to recommed Anna and Alex to some of the people staying at the B&B.

Both Anna and Alex were very professional and did their jobs well. I also recommend using Alex to pick you up at the airport and drop you off at the end of your stay. This made things a lot simplier and made of an enjoyable stay.
