robbie Just Starting Joined: 05 Nov 2004 Posts: 1	Posted: Sat Nov 06, 2004 2:51 am    Post subject: visa from usa to russia i live in cincinnati-ohio--usa and i have found the problem everyone speaks of that of having a friend in russia attempt to get an invitation for me--homestay since then my friend has told me a friend of hers works at a travel agency in russia and can get one in just a few days-i will be staying with the friend so my question is should i send both to the consulate in us as i do not want to mess things up-i want do it right the first time also do you know if the russian consulate in washington dc will accept a copy of the invitation or do i need to wait to recieve the orignal by mail from russia???

I believe the consulate in washington accepts faxed copies of tourist invitations.
