The main problem is now to find out the train and bus connections and good and cheap accomodation. I'm planning to travel like this: 1st day: Moscow - via train -> Vladimir (visit) - via bus -> Bogolyubovo (visit) - via bus -> Suzdal (visit and accomodation) 2nd day: Suzdal - via bus -> Kostroma (visit) - via train -> Yaroslavl (visit and accomodation) 3rd day: Yaroslavl - via bus / train -> Rostov-Veliky - via bus / train -> Pereslavl Zalessky - via bus / train -> Sergiev Possad - via night train via Moscow -> St Petersburg Do you think this trip is possible? I'm happy of all hints and tipps concerning the Golden Ring! Thanks a lot! Kind regards, Christian.

If you can not afford to spend more time, then select one city to visit per day. I have only been to Kostroma among the cities you mention, but one could easily spend more than a day there.
