Hi, I'm an Indian Student and i just got admission the the Russian State Medical University. SO well obviously i'm really nervous about moving to a completely foreign land. Talking about safety issues, I dont think There's any trouble unless you're looking for some Very Happy. Am i right? And i would really like to know about the seasons and stuff in moscow. I mean how should i prepare and buy things. Umm Any other info would be really helpful. Anyone from moscow or that uni? Another thing, I've well "heard" a lot about safety issues with indians there. They're most probably rumours but still they make me nervous as i'll be spending 6 years of my life there. Confused . Well thanks for any help. Cheers!

If you look different from your average Russian, people will definitely stare at you as you go about your business around town. Don't let it bother you too much, and you will get used to it. Act confidently and secure, and you chances of being harrassed will be diminished. Be street smart. Wink

Thanks for the reply first of all. And yea ofcourse i look different than the average russians. More tanned. But i'm thinkin that if i just mind my own business of studies and remain within the campus avoiding bad places I'd be safe. Thanks Laughing
