I will arrive in Moscow on Saturday, Jan 1, 2005, and will take another plane (hopefully,if not cancelled, Aeroflot) from Moscow to Ekaterinburg-
1. I was told that domestic planes shut down on holiday, particularly on New Year Day, and I heard the official holiday in Russia is Jan 1, and Jan 2.which is also Saturday and Sunday-

Questions: Does this mean that Russia will also have Jan 3 off, the entire week? as for Russian Orthodox Christmas is on Jan 7, that Friday.
** IS it true the 3:40 domestic plane from Moscow to Ekaterinburg could be cancelled?

2. I have a mult-entry visa good for 12 months from July 9,2004 to Jul 9, 2005--I have already registered my visa with OVIR in Ekaterinburg this past July , 2004.So do I need again to registered my visa for my trip in Jan 2005? (in Ekaterinburg, and will Ovir even be open during the holiday week of Jan 1-Jan7, ( go backto the US on Jan Cool. I had purchase my invitation from International Business Center in Ekaterinburg--and I usually go to them when I come to Russia--to get a completed form from them to bring to FSB and then OVIR. I stay with friends.I volunteer as a nurse assistin children and teens at the diabetes association in ekaterinburg. I need to know i I really don't need to register my visa this time , also, need to know if my plane is cancelled , will Aeroflot put me on the next Russian domesic plane on Jan 2 --I would think that at least 1 plane would depart from Moscow to Ekat per day, even on a holiday. I called the Aeroflot office in the US and was told that so far, there is 2 people on the plane going from Moscow to Ekat---at 3:40 Jan 1, I would make the 3rd. thanks, please respond.

You must register your business visa each time you re-enter Russia (for the duration of your stay).
