Uday nice comments to these people. Have some manners for once. Did your parents teach to treat women with some respect. One moment you can be very intelligent and the next you are very insulting. I know you are man enough to let Cyndi's comments go. Uday please keep the vulgarity down with the women.

Uday you can dish it out but can't take it! That's right! I can assure you that I am not a naive twat. Hey by the way good vocabulary. From what I have read in this forum I believe I have an educated guess about your sincerity and excuse me committment for not just parenting but the r word - relationships. However yes I could be misled. Your communtary on this forum could be just a need for attenti\on. In the event that you ARE a dad, well best of luck.

And Ludabog it would be wonderful if adopting parents had the financial and other resources to adopt siblings. I agree that this is the best for these children, But there are practical concerns and unfortunately siblings left behind feel the brunt of it. It is sad. I know for example that my son also adopted from Russia , has at least one other sibling, an older child given up. I sometimes think how can I Seek my son's biological sibling out and possibly adopt him or her. Things are not simple. I do not know what work you did inRussian orphanage but you must realize that people who adopt these very wonderful children have the best intentions. The real PROBLEM is that adoption is a big business and it is all about money I am sorry to say.

Reading these posts, I thought "Uday has got to reply to this" and he didn't let me down. i'm not disagreeing with anyone here. I admire and understand the adoption (obviously) position and I am a Christian man with a family but at the same time I think Uday is right. Alice is really cute(if that's her real pic). Uday will find himself feeling the "family urge" eventually and that will be the proper time to act on it. Many of our orphans have resulted from people starting too soon in their lives, eh? DennisF

a) I call a twat as a I see 'em.
b) who's to say cyndy is a female?

The blanket statements you guys make is insideous. You make it sound like you are so much better than everyone else because you've adopted and everyone who is a good person must to so as well. It's wrong and naive cyndy, like it or not.

Helping people is one thing, which I've yet to see from you. But being a judgemental twat is another, which is what I have seen from you. Who are you to say who is fit/unfit to be a parent? Are you feeling low in the self esteem category due to your lacking parenting skills? My point is, you are not fit to judge anyone, and it's laughable that you think so highly of yourself to lecture me on sex & parenting.

When you quit insulting women in a vulgar way, I will quit insulting you in a vulgar way. Nothing personal, but I do not tolerate vulgarity against women.

You are a smart man and can express yourself without calling a woman a Tw*t.

I can call em as I seethem too and Uday is what is known as a misagynist but he probably doesn't get it. For the record I never claimed to be a superior being just because we adopted a very beautuoful and sweet and YES needy baby in Russia. Truthfully if my husband and I were able to conceive a child we prfoboably would not haver taken this route. So we are NOT IN ANY WY trying to pretend we are SO NOBLE ETC. BUT YES we have made a contribution none the less in the life of a small child. Uday what positive contribution have you made in your so called interested RUSSIA? oH BY THE THE WAY just because you posted your photo does NOTHING about your MASCULINITY.

ALSO I am disappointed in Denis F'S comments about this. I thought MD's were smarter. WRONG. The bible belt is alive and well in gool ol TEXAS. really do you think UIday is parenting material? God help us.

You can PM Uday the name of your daughter, younger sister or best friend when he has the URGES. I am sure he will be welcome member of your family.

I can see the reply " Help me Doctor I have serious URGES"

Please, don't turn this discussion into quarrel. Uday likes to provoke, Atomcat likes to play with Uday. I think I'm going to open a special topic for you guys in our Talk Lounge -- it will be called Uday-Atomcat -- where you can post messages for each other discussing other members of this forum. Smile

Cindy, I'm sorry about Uday, but I like how you dealt with his posts.

And by the way:

This is also a judgement, even if it is about people not being able to judge the others. And this sentence is a judgement. Every word is a judgement then. And anyway, it's about adoption this topic...

Embarassed I did not mean to insult or offend anyone with my last post. I just have a hard time believing Uday is really as he appears in this chat site. I, like our capable site admin., think Uday puts on a front to stimulate a reaction. Surely he can't be as amoral as he presents himself. I am NOT advocating his position. But I also think Alice is cute. That doesn't mean I'm going to leave my family and go to Moscow in search of the "perfect Alice" though. I appreciate the info (and the banter) on this site and Alice is one of the people who has been most supportive and helpful in my short tenure on this site. Again, My comments were meant to be "tongue in cheek" but provocative. Were they ever! DennisF

Uday is okay. He just is too vulgar sometimes. He can be smart so I really do not why he has to provoke with vulgarity. Uday can actually be good it. I LMAO with his putdown on Spartacus. Sometimes I think of making a comment, but I wait for him to post. Calling Cyndy a Tw*t was uncalled for.

Cool [Things are not simple. ]
Going back to adoption... Cindy22, I don't mean it's a simple issue. Just trying to think of the ways. May be, in your area or in church you can find someone who are interested in adoption also and make this person an adoptive parent for the sibling of your 7 years old prince Vladimir. I agree, money is very much involved into it. But if we put our efforts all together we can help kids.

My brother in law and his wife hosted a 12 yr. old girl in view of adoption. When they found out that she has a 14 yr. old brother, they decided to adopt him too rather than separate them. These two children are best friends with the 13 yr. old girl I am adopting. We are hoping that, being best friends (and soon cousins) they will be able to adjust to their new families with less psychological trauma. I can't help but think of what a radical change it will be for them.
The original subject for this thread was exploring how Russian people feel about Russian children being adopted away from their fatherland by foreign parents. I, along with DLT, am very interested in this. Could we get some commentary from some of our Russian friends here? Thanks, DennisF

Lubabog, if you want, I can dedicated and maintain a webspace for your cause. I will talk with some friends to see if they can do the legal fees at a lesser cost. Government officials to see if they can fast track the process. If you talk with Dmitri(webmaster), he might be able set up another section on this website for adoptions.

Dennis, it is better to have a child in a foreign home, then one in graveyard.
