I am tired of this negative stuff where even adopting is a horror show.

My Favorite place is Petergof, because it is the most romantic place on this earth. The fountains and the gold statues, the cheap people ripping their shirts ove a fence to save $1.5. When I was there, they had dancing and music playing for 2003 Anniversary. Jumped into the jade pool and got soaked.
If I ever see Bryanboy, I have to give him hell for not visiting it!!!

I have never been there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad

The only place I've been are:

1) Nevsky Prospekt
2) Yakitoria
3) Jet Set
4) Palace Square
5) Hermitage/Winter Palace
6) Catherine palace, pushkin
7) Onegin, Opium
Cool Grand Hotel Europe
9) CCCP/USSR Cafe/Afterparty
10) Imbir Cafe
11) Cabaret
12) Greshniki/Sinners
13) A Russian Market
14) A couple of supermarkets
15) In front of a Naval Academy

and that's about it really Sad

I *HAVE* to do the tourist places but it's just hard. I love clubbing and drinking and partying and meeting people and doing some unmentionables... and I need to sleep at least 6 or 7 hours a day and it's hard to go out all night and then go to the hotel at like 7 or 8AM...

Peterhof is a wonderful place to visit, but at this time of year it would not be so nice.

Bryanboy I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Russia and that you will return. I go back again in June.

My favorite places are the small towns outside of Moscow on the Golden Ring, as well as Novgorod near St Petersburg.

I love St Isaac's Cathedral -- it's just beautiful inside and outside. You can climb the stairs to the observation deck and see the whole city from it.

It's difficult to pick and choose -- the whole center of the city is gorgeous.

The Hermitage was mine. Unfortuantely, I never did see Peterhof due to it being non-stop rain during my visit, but it's my only regret.
