I'm sure you could hire one of the many detectives listed on the internet....but I'm not sure you'd find an honest one.

If you are an American, wanting to marry a Russian woman with the intent to return to America with her, a Russian marriage is not recognized in America anyway, so would it really matter? If they were married to an American in America, that info should be easy to find.

Look at the question being asked, and then, look at your ridiculous reply.

Well even with your edit your reply is still quite bizarre, does this apply to American citizens who marry other nationals abroad or is it exclusively for Russian / American unions.

From what you say I get the impression that every marriage between a Russian woman and an American would have to be re-enacted in the US. Is this correct?

Question is different than prior. My question is if a Russian man
had child out of wedlock with Russian woman then moved to US
and eventually became US citizen after having green card and working
in US, is the child an American Citizen? can he come to US for visit?.. and if
child comes to US, will he be American Citizen? What about the out
of wed lock childs mother? Does she have any rights in US in this case? Does
Russian male have to pay child or support, or penalties for this situation.
Is this when Forced marriage is acted on in Russia?

One more question, how could we find birth records of mother, child or man? or marriage or death or divorce records?

Person I know has died would like to find former lover and child if still in Russia, but understand child is in US.

Your first question is not to clear but, here is what I know.

1. Russian parents moving to the US with a child born in Russia has to apply for citizenship which takes a lot of red tape. You will become a citizen after so many years in the US, if you did not apply for it and you have to prove how long you have been here with an address. Children can come to the US to visit but, I believe you must bring that childs birth records with you. If your child was born in the US then that child automatically becomes a citizen.

2. If the mother has a green card she maybe able to apply for child support but, it does not go back to when she was in Russia. It is called back child support. It only applies to the present and how long the father has been here in the US and had not paid. Maybe. I am unclear on that. There are alot of Mexican women who moved here in my town and has applied for back child support but, I am not sure if they received it.

3. Women have a lot of rights in the US whether she is a US citizen or a Russian or any nationality. You may want to look into this. In the town that you move here in the US,you need to look into the local phone book, the blue pages (government listings) and look up the "child support" number for your local area. A national number to call for children is (1-800-422-4453) this is for all children in the US or coming to the US. In the state you move in look up "Cabinet For Families & Children" this is a state listing, not a local listing. There should be a Toll Free number listed.

4. You are not clear on all the records you are looking for. Are all these records in Russia or are some of them in the US? You should go to the county clerks office and get some information in the town you move too. They should help you. The county clerk has a record department and they, if they feel like it, will look up a international number and look for records for you. It might take awhile but, push the issue and you might get it.

Hope I have been some help to you.

Yes, according to the info I found, it would not be recognized in the US. Not so bizarre, but the question left a little open to interpretation anyway. Apparently, the little rascal doesn't care anymore, anyway

Well you don't have to remarry...but you need to register down at the County Registrar's office for the place where you reside. So what ever paper work from abroad would need to be recorded.

In the case of the above...the Russian man although now a US citizen...the girlfriend and child would not be citizens until they applied for citizenship upon residing in the US. It is not automatic nor guaranteed based on marriage. In the case of the women...she would have to marry to a US citizen and then bring the child here and apply for citizenship. But because she would marry to a US citizen she would qualify for permanent residency. But she would have to do necessary paperwork for the child and then after so many years he then could apply.
