I live in the USA. This has been the only sight I have found to be up to date and very informative. Thank you, Steven

You'll need to get in touch with the Russian Embassy in the US for the most up to date information. They'll ask you to prepare some documents, so follow the instructions. They vary slightly for different countries. You can also contact some visa agencies to help you out with the process or supply you with an invitation. If you plan to stay in Russia for a very long time, you may consider getting a temporary residence permit. It's a very tedious process, and actually offeres more restrictions than a business visa. The only good thing is that you don' have to keep renewing your visas in order to remain in Russia.
