Yes, you do have your share. I wish people would view KY a little better than just a redneck state. We have our share of culture. Economy booming. If you knew what kind of homes that are being built here you would swear you are living in a mansion. 6,000 sq ft. homes for $500,000. You couldn't buy a home with all you get in it in NY for that price. We have hugh homes built like this and our economy has changed for the better in 5 years.

Giuliani was the greatest....

You have to remember that the salaries here are much higher as well - especially in technology and finance.

The pay is not that much higher. A technical job does start at $80,000 to $110,000 a year or more depending experience. via (Network Engineer). Computer Repair Tect about $40,000 to $55,000 a year. This state is full of Lawyers and medical Doctors. Humana in KY has alot of new medical break throughs coming out of my state. The hand transplant developed here and artificial heart. Why is it that KY makes the news all the time for there medical research and development? We are no dummies here....

I think a Russian comes from Russia. He speaks Russian. His parents are Russian. If he moves, he is still Russian. I think it's more of starting point than an actual identity. People are just people after all. And change is inevitable......except from vending machines. Laughing

If he speaks Russian and has Russian parents then he's likely to carry many of those characteristics that makes a Russian a Russian. Doesn't that starting point contribute to the identity you have as an individual? Marx was born in Germany and was educated in Germany, and yet it's known that he claimed himself as an Englishman. Who you are is a decision you make on your own.

Surfguy, you misunderstood me, I never said anything about the United States -not- being multicultural, anyone who has stepped a kilometre into the border would know better than to say something like that.

I'm what people would call a Mutt. I'm mixed races which are Irish, British, French and Spanish. I was Born in Canada and lived in Russia for a about two years after birth. I'm not of Canadian blood or Russian blood, but i still lived in both places at an early age and speak both French and Russian very well and know much culture about both countries to the point you would think i lived there. But the truth is i don't have a drop of Canadian or Russian blood in me. As far as i know anyway.

That's really cool. Have you always lived in Canada or Russia? Or have you thus moved anywhere else? Cool

Well i was only born in Quebec Canada, and that's only because my parents were on vacation there when i was born.

I've lived most of my years in the USA and i don't get very good treatment in this country sadly. It must just be the places i live in guess. I never did have good taste in good safe "family friendly" communities.

I have wanted to visit certain parts of the US before i make my permanent home in Montreal however.

Why don't you live in a good community? And what do you mean by saying that you "don't get very good treatment"?

Does not make any sense...

...I thought it was pretty plain and simple. It means exactly what the words say.

I don't have good taste in family friendly living places. I don't have good sense in finding a house in a good township with nice people.

I don't get good treatment in America. I know there are a lot of nice americans out there and most of which are my friends, but a lot of the majority i've met tend to be racists and assholes who are disrespectful to one another.

No offense to all Americans, but i've just found more jerks here than in any other country, and the fact that some of those jerks know what races i am doesn't help that fact when they bother me.

I live in New York City and have not seen any racists so far. I have seen quite a few assholes, but most people here are professional and good. There are plenty of interesting and hip area in this great city where just about anyone would feel at home.
