I´m a portuguese national and I´m applying for a tourist visa in the Russian Embassy at London. I would like to know if the medical insurance I have to provide has to be from a specific company... I ask this because some friends told me that the russian consulate in Lisbon is "prefering" the medical insurances from "AXA Insurance".

| did you call the embassy there? You should confirm that with them...and if so get it...how much could it be? |

Apart from answering the question on the visa application form I have never been asked anything about medical insurance, and have never had to show a copy of the policy.
You should have it for your own peace of mind, but as far as I am aware, the choice of insurer is entirely yours. |
