|
|
Hi there, I just turned up at the Sydney consulate to find it shut for Victory Day! I can pop back tomorrow, and it also gave me time to find this site where I can check I have done the form correctly, if people would be kind enough!
My travel company has provided me with the documents, I am wondering about questions 8 and 14.... I am applying for a tourist visa and was wondering what the difference was between the reference number of the Russian tour agency and the number of the tour voucher? I can see one pretty clear reference number on my paperwork, just not sure about the other one and which is which Also, is it the hotel name for company or organisation to be visited in Russia?
Sorry if I am repeating old questions, all help will be greatly appreciated! |

I put the SAME answer for both questions.
The voucher number and the name of the hotel you have reserved, or person inviting you.
The consulate gets all the paperwork in any case so they can see at a glance. I just feel it's better not to leave any blanks on the form. |

| Thanks mate, I will do the same. If it is wrong, I am sure I will be told! I think I deserve a beer when the Russian visa is safely in my passport. |

The reference number is 3 or 4 digits and is at the bottom of the left side of the invitation (where it says, "For visa formalities please use our reference #???) and is repeated near the top of the right side of the invitation.
The voucher number is on the right side of the invitation (Where it says "Voucher N"), is longer and is a combination of letters and numbers.
The travel agency and its address are in the top right corner. You can write the name of the travel agency for both questions. |

| Cheers Greg, I don't think I did it as you said but they accepted my paperwork, took my money and told me when I could collect my visa! So hopefully that is all sorted now. More praise for the Sydney consulate I think, it was pretty much hassle free, I was in and out in a couple of minutes. |

You'd better have a beer for Greg. He's a champ with visa applications!
Don't forget to try some good Russian beer when you get there! |
