Hi all:

Do you have any experience with connectrussia.net train ticket service agent? I have paid my tickets fee month ago. And they used two weeks to give me a scan of copy of my invoice to allow me apply my visa. This is really squeezing my time. Now, as they said, they will deliver my tickets to USA to me in the beginning of May. However, I havn't received my ticket and no any response from them as I already sent couple of emails to them. Also I tried to call their customer service number but hard to realize the voice machine....

Anyone can help ?

Thx
Benjamin

I have been in contact with ConnectRussia recently and they do reply but much slower than was recommended by wattorussia, it took perhaps 3-4 days to receive a reply. Try calling again. Do you have a parcel tracking number?

Hmm, Actually, they havn't gave me any tracking number or informed me that the tickets has been sent to me. I tried to call them in their office hour via this phone number +7 495 221 1266. However, I have difficult to understand Russian. If anyone read my message and living in Moscow or would like to help me to have a call to them, and then figure out which ext. number I should press to reach a person, Alexander Oskin. I will appreciate your kindly help!!! Please just help me after the voice machine pickup my phone and which ext. number I should press, no need to talk to them. I will call and talk to them myself.

There's no extension. It's just an answering machine. It tells you the number you have reached and then asks you to leave a message after the beep.

The problem with Benjamin was solved today, when he called us. I will repeat to Benjamin that he will receive the train tickets shortly.

The problems were in holidays, from 01.05.2007 to 13.05.2007 nobody in Russia normally worked. This is why someone wait the answer from us 3-4 days and still not received the train tickets. Now we can guarantee that we work in normal mode, answered to all order in 16 hours maximum (everyone can check), and all the clients will receive the train tickets on this week.

Please accept our apologies who were disappointed with our service in this two weeks.

PS: Our phone number is (+7-495) 221-12-66, this is not answering machine, this is our multiline phone number in our office. Many people call us at night and after this think that this is answering machine.

Thanx.

Thanks Greg and ConnectRussia, I just talked to ConnectRussia on phone. They promised to send me tickets today and gave me a tracking number of fedex. I am still waiting for a tracking number now.

I am so worried about the tickets delivery since I will start my travel earlier to different countries few days later and move to Russia on earlier June. So I ordered tickets in middle April to avoid any rush situation. But I don't know
that there is a National holiday of Russia in the beginning of May.

BTW, Thanks for everyone's help. I will watch my box everyday from now.

Surprised

I've used Alexander with ConnectRussia.net twice for train tickets and have been very pleased. Received what was promised when it was promised. The one thing you need to be aware of is that no travel agency can obtain tickets > 45 days in advance as the Russian Train Service won't print the tickets but 45 days out.

I have to report that I have had exactly the same problem.

I got a very quick email response from Alexander but when I tried emailing I received no response and when I rang the number given I also got an answer machine. This was definately during office hours and not on a holiday

I know this because I rang another agency and got a reply immediately.

So, it would be really good to clean up this side of your business guys. I'm sure you provide a wonderful service, but I cannot afford to risk it -= I really needed to talk to someone to change the booking and to clarify some things.

Hi,

I'm having similar problems - I have sent 4 emails to ConnectRussia in last week & no replies - I've tried both the info & sales addresses. It's reassuring that some of you are reporting getting your tickets eventually but as I'm travelling to Finland first 1 week before travel would be a problem for me.

I also cannot understand the menu when I call - can someone perhaps give a translation of the instructions- e.g. which number I need to press to talk to someone (in English)?

to liat79: The transsiberian route is very difficult route. Your train tickets were finally ready only a few days ago, yesterday (09.07.2007) they were send to you and today (10.07.2007) you have received them. Your train tickets weren't send to you, because they were not ready!

to KeithManning: The train tickets on the international routes can be finally provided only 40 days before the departure. Your train tickets were finally ready only on Friday and today they were send to you and you will receive them tomorrow (11.07.2007) morning before 12:00AM.

Alexander - I leave the US on 27 July. Can you provide an update/tracking# as to when I should expect to receive my tickets?

Many thanks,

Alexander,

Can you please respond, my tickets are long overdue, I left Melbourne 2 days ago and still my train tickets have not been sent from you, can you please tell me exactly when they will be sent to my home address in Melbourne.
I am extremely anxious as they should have arrived mid June and it is now mid July and still no tickets.
