Hello,

Your Forum offers a lot of answers to visa related questions, in detail as in general. I loked a lot so I wouldn't bother u with questions that might have been asked before. A complete HOWTO would be really great.

I would be interested in obtaining a 12 month multi entry visa for russia to visit my girlfriend in Peterburg but also to travel around (unto siberia)

My case: I am a university student in Germany and don't have my own company, business or whatsoever.

When I apply for visa support (for example through yor site), what I worry about is what information to put where. As I understand it's generally no Problem to obtain a business visa, even without having a visa. What will I get from u visa support? I presume some kind of invitation document from the business I will be officially traveling to in Russia, yes? Will that suffice to apply to a business visa at my embassy in Berlin? Will you provide me with the original documents? Will this delivery produce extra costs?
concerning that. What Information should I enter on my Visa application and late rMigration Card where it says thinks like:

-Adresses of Inviting Organization
-Object of Journey to Russia.
-Departments to be visited
-Route of Journey
-Date of Entry & Departure (what in case of a 12 Month Business Visa)
-What to say where I'll stay? Since I won't have a tourist voucher /hotel reservation

-Should I be able to provide healthinsurance for 12 month in advance, even if I won't stay longer than, say 2 months at a time?

- I'll probably have to provide a negative HIv-Test. But also If I never stay longer than 3 months at one time?

-Can I enter by various means of transportation every time i enter russia? (car, airplane, motorbike....) even if I didn't give that information on the visa application?

-Do I have to register every time I enter Russia within the periode of the visa validity?

-Is, within the 12 moth visa validity a limit for each stay, given through some kind of maximum registration time for 3 motnh for example?

-Your visa support application form has a valid FROM & TILL field. When does a year for a 12 month visa end? If I enter FROM 1.Feb.2005, what should be the maximum UNTIL Date 365 days later or the 31. Jan.2006?

Visa Support sounds great, but i'tss the little things that make you worry and which u often can't answer yourself that make everything difficult. A complete HOWTO, especially for no-business-business-visa-travellers with all the details, images maybe, would really help.

-Are ther any restrictions as to from which countries I can enter and reenter russia on the multi/12 month visa?

Thanks in advance for your help.

With kind regards

You misunderstand what a business visa is. When you apply for a business visa it is because the purpose of your trip to Russia is business. This means that you are either working for a business in Germany or you are a self-employed business person in Germany and you want to go to Russia to investigate business opportunities, find business partners and negotiate business deals.

I suggest that you should be a consultant for your self-employed business in Germany. When you are in Russia, keep your eyes open for business opportunities because you will see many of them. And now that the economy of Russia is steadily improving, you may decide to follow through on one of those opportunities.

Another misunderstanding is "visa support". This mostly refers to the official invitation that you must receive from Russia in order to apply for a visa. FIrst you need the invitation. Then you apply for the visa. When you are in Russia, the organization that arranged the invitation is responsible for you. This is all called "visa support". The exact details today are a bit different than a couple of years ago because of changes in the law so if you do lots of research on other websites it can be confusing because some of the advice will be out of date.

You have a lot of questions. I suggest that you should carefully read all the visa advice on this site and then if it is still unclear, only ask specific questions referring to this site. That way the site owners will know which parts of their visa advice need to be expanded to make them better. They already have the best site on the Internet.

Thanks for your answer.
I know very well what the official purpose of a business visa is. But I think everybody knows that it is also very often used for touristic or private purposes. I am aware that officially I would be on a business trip. I'd just like to know what Information I should give to the visa support for the information concerning my "official" business intents, my position in my not existing firm etc. since there must be quite a number of people who already used a business visa for non business purposes, I'd like to know what their official Version was, what information they gave in documents.....

You already suggested that I could be a consultant for my self-employed business in germany. Should I provide a registered business or could I just say, that I am a one-man-business (self-employed as u'd say) who will travel around through russia to look for the, and there you are definitely right, many business opportunities in Russia. The question would be, if at any time, for example at my embassy, someone would ask any specifics.

Maybe if someone who already has experience as a "self-employed-businessmen" can give me some tips on this matter.

Thanks
