When someone like Vitaly says this crap, I can understand. The men is not very bright and does not have much respect for human rights. But I cannot comprehend why is it that so many people in the US South are so damn backward-minded. I think people in New York shared the same view about 50-60 years ago. I guess Kentucky has a long way to go. All this religious nonsense about what is right and what is wrong. First of all, who are you to say to some people what is right and what is wrong? For some people, eating hamburgers is wrong while some other people love it. Some choose to drink in a bvar every day and get drunk, others (like me) feel that glass of red wine with dinner is more than enough. The whole point of living in a free country should be for people to live anyway they like. I don't have any gay friends. But I saw some gay men who were in a serious and committed relationship for dozens of years. They love each other and they have feelings for one another. It's not their free choise to love other men. It's what they feel. So who cares?
Vitaly cannot comprehend that the reason why they demonstrate for their rights is because of him and people like him. And because they don't have too many rights and cannot just be who they are without someone screaming that "it's wrong", "it's bad", "it's sinful", etc.
Only in American can the president that was drinking hard until he was 40, C-student throughout his college years who sent thousands of Americans to death in Iraq be on a higher moral ground because he feels that "Marriage is for men and women"... Talking about priorities. |

I guess that is why they are beating the crap out of gays in Russia because they think like backward southerners from America. It doesn't have anything to do with rights. If I go in a resteraunt and get a coke instead of a pepsi, I am not going out on the street and make a big scene and tell everybody and demand people to support me because I love coke. If I prefer bondage and like being tied up during sex then I don't think people would appreciate me yelling it out in the street and want bondage rights. It is in moral and don't throw religious stuff on me. I am not religious. |

The point is that if YOU want to YOU can. While people may think you are a bit odd it is doubtful that anyone would beat you because of your slightly different behaviour.
Why then should people be persecuted, discriminated against and denied basic human rights because they share their bed with someone of the same sex and same persuasion?
Your take on morals belongs to a bygone era when bigotry in all guises was acceptable, It is not anymore. |

I perfectly understand that you may find the gay rallies offensive - that's OK. You're entitled to your opinion. But you said that being gay was wrong - that is a judjement call that in my opinion is influenced by the loonie state that you were brought in. Who are you to say what's right and what's wrong? |
