Hello, I plan to travel to Moscow in August when my wife has her interview for her K3 visa. Will I have a problem obtaining a tourist visa if I disclose on the application that I am married to a Russian citizen? Do they even have a way of knowing (We were married in Rostov-on-Don)?

Since my wife lives in Rostov, I don't think she can apply for a private visa invitation for me since I'm not coming to Rostov, only to Moscow.

So what should I do on my visa application? Apply for a tourist visa and be honest that I'm married to a Russian citizen, apply for a tourist visa and NOT say that I'm married to a Russian citizen, or find some way for my wife to invite me with a private visa?

Thanks very much!

tourist visa, say you're married.

that's my opinion, and you should definitely seek another, probably a professional one. potentially, even if they won't immediately know at the border that you are married, they could find out through interrogation. and that would be bad. people, especially authorities don't respond to deceit very well... even if it's insignificant.

but i don't see a problem with you getting a tourist visa, since you're not staying with anyone. if you have proof of your hotel booking in moscow from the day you get in until the day you leave, you should be fine.

I think all you need to do is just get a tourist visa, ALWAYS be truthful in answering the questions on the visa application.
Give only the answers that are required on the application.
I went for my wife's interview, a lot of men go for their wife's interview and have never had a problem....you'll be ok...just be sure to register it.

Hello,

I wonder if the law concerning business visa has changed since the first of June. The fact is that I requested a business invitation through "visa to Russia" and that they told me that the processing of my invitation can take more time than normally due to that new law.

Is it true that the law has changed and that it has become more difficult to obtain a business invitation? I namely don't know if I can trust that organisation.

If "Way to Russia" can send me an invitation for a business visa for 3 months single entry in 5 days, as mentioned on the website, I think I will choose that option. I don't want to run the risk to miss my plane...
