yet again, tis i... american girl dating russian boy.
so... i argued and parted ways with my parents, and he assured me i could live with him and his parents and work until i could afford an appartment. well.. i showed up today and its a HUGE fiasco. His mom thinks im a scheming whore, both parents think im going to announce im pregnant (which i am SOOO not even close), and overall they just hate me and think im going to be a distraction. im not a bad kid, im more than willing to help in any way i can. if they want me to do dishes or fold laundry or anything, im waiting and ready.
also, his parents (mom especially) said that he and i would have to go running, because they believe that he should be dating someone beautiful and perfect. he loves me as i am, as any way i want to be. but to them, im never good enough. i feel torn. will i always be a scheming whore? Crying or Very sad

I don't think there is a very simple answer to this question. You're what, 18 years old? How would you react, if your 18 year old daughter came home with a boyfriend. I don't think I'd be pleased if my son came home with a "serious" relationship. Try to see things from their perspective. You may think you are making lifelong plans, but you are only 18 after all. Just keep trying to talk to them. Eventually they'll get fed up with your nagging, and they'll be forced to talk about it, if for no other reason, than to shut you up. Then you'll get to say your piece. Think about what you want to say, cause if you blow it, you may never get another chance. Try to make nice with your parents as well. Family is a very important part of life. Try to keep yours in your life.
Good luck.

I think they just dont want you there, and are probably suspicious about why it is that you are on the outs with your parents. There is also the issue of respect, perhaps they are old school and do not believe you should be living with them in their home when you are not married to their son. I wonder, did your boyfriend even ask his parents if you could move in, or did he force it on them? I think you all need to have a sit down and air your grievances because this is going to cause you nothing but stress, and how are you supposed to look for a job under these circumstances?

Very good, Firey. Also, this girl is an "extra mouth" for the parents to feed at this point. They do not need another child.
And starryeyed346, don't take it personal. His mother doesn't hate you. All she wants is what's best for her son. After all she wants him to have a choice.

Just to add a few cents, too. I agree with what everyone has posted thus far. I'm sure his parents don't hate you, but they have probably made a lot of sacrifices to get where they are and to provide the very best opportunities for their son. That being said, they may be very apprehensive about their son making decisions, at a relatively young age, which may undermine his goals (or their goals for him) for the future.

Ok...yes everyone here has legit and good input. The fact is you guys are too young to be shacking up...also you are invading thier space...of which thier son is a majot part of. In no way would I allow my daughter at age 18 to move in with my son and visa versa. You are at an age where it is time to make good decisions...and I am sure your parents do not agree with this either. So the best thing is to get your own place. And honestly not get too serious with any boy. Live life a little. You will be a better person. Love is great when we are in it...but more often than not it clouds our judgement. And no it is not about helping out...if you want to retain this guy...don't move in. Have some respect for yourself...and remember if you can't respect your self how can anyone else. We've seen your photo here and you are an attractive young women....don't worry about what his parents think...stand up...be a women...and take charge of your life

As Fire G said, it seems that your boy friend didn't ask from his parents could you move in or not. If you want to participate to daily routines and help, then go and do that, don't wait for them to ask you to do so, it is too late then. Also you should buy the food you are eating, do part of the shopping and so on, that is if you want to be accepted to the family.

if you want to be trusted you should ask as official as you can and not be too easy going...

To me it seems that you really have to get somewhere else, do you have any relatives or friends who could give you a place where to stay? If not, you might have to face the reality and move back to your parent's place.. I feel sorry for you, life is sometimes hard...

Don't worry you guys, you're just over-reacting a little. I only meant it as a constructive comment. Going to the gym is good for anyone to do, no matter how good or bad of shape you're in.

I'm not over reacting. I just said that it wasn't nice to say. Surfguy over reacted, not me.
